
A Historic Arrival – October 9 in New York City
On October 9, 2025, 200 years after the Restauration first arrived in New York City, the ship once again sailed into the harbor after a 98-day voyage from Norway.
H.R.H. Crown Prince Haakon, mayors, ministers, Norwegian-Americans, Norwegians, and the crew were welcomed at the pier in New York — in a warm celebration centered around our shared history and culture.
And with a reminder that we too have fled — driven by hope for a better life across the ocean.
