The last Music Video of the Month of the anniversary year concludes with Kaizers Orchestra’s spectacular performance in DR’s Grand Christmas Show.

It opens with the Lucia song flowing seamlessly into Begravelsespolka – accompanied by both a large choir and the DR Symphony Orchestra. In the Christmas month of December – a time for light, community, and reflection.

Kaizers Orchestra’s Begravelsespolka (lyrics) highlights a dramatic and symbolic dialogue about fate, identity, and choice – themes that also resonated with the emigrants on the Restauration in 1825 and remain relevant today.

The Restauration and Crossings 200 voyage, along with the monthly music videos, have aimed to raise awareness and inspire reflection on migration – both past and present.
History must not be forgotten – and it is highly relevant in light of today’s situation in Europe and around the world, where people seek safety, opportunity, and a better life.
