World Premiere – the film “Restauration – In the Wake of the Emigrants”

World Premiere – the film “Restauration – In the Wake of the Emigrants”

In the summer of 1825, the sailing ship Restauration left Stavanger with 52 hopeful passengers on their way to a new life in America. The journey marked the beginning of the great Norwegian emigration.

Two hundred years later, the ship once again sets course for New York. During the voyage, the crossing is filmed to recreate what life may have been like aboard a small sailing vessel crossing the Atlantic—through storms, calm seas, and powerful human experiences.

Join a unique journey back in history.

Information about the film “Restauration – In the Wake of the Emigrants” can be found here.
