Restauration is an icon of Norwegian emigration history from Norway to the USA, and is considered the beginning of organized emigration where nearly 1/3 of Norway’s population chose to leave their homeland.

The Restauration Venneforening preserves as owner the Restauration to convey the emigration history from Norway to the USA and coastal cultural history to current and future generations.

S = Collaboration, adapting to each other and thereby achieving a good collective result. Through shared experiences where one recognizes the efforts of others.
T = Well-being, an environment where we respect each other and provide mastery and new learning by sharing experiences. Together we are better than alone.
