Help Us Find the Oldest Relative of the Baby Born Onboard

Help Us Find the Oldest Female Descendant of the Baby Born Onboard the Restauration!

Today, September 2, 2025, marks exactly 200 years since the birth of Margaret Allen—born September 2, 1825—onboard the immigrant ship Restauration crossing the Atlantic Ocean.
We are reaching out to YOU for help.

We’re searching for the oldest living female descendant of Margaret living in North America.

Who is she?
What’s her name?
Where does she live?
How old is she?

Is she proud of her unique family history?
Does her family know and cherish this incredible story?

..................

Margaret was passenger number 53 on that small ship during its historic voyage from Norway to America.
Help us find her oldest living descendant!

Share your tips and thoughts on Facebook (link coming soon), or email us the contact info and name of anyone you think might be the right person at: post@restauration.no
Please send tips by October 2.

Onboard Restauration, throughout its entire journey from Norway to North America, we are carrying a very special gift for her.

Learn more about Margaret Allen and her story here:

And read about her mother and the artwork visualizing what the baby might have looked like:

THANK YOU in advance for your help and support!
