Part 2: Help Us Find the Oldest Female Descendant of the Baby Born Onboard the Restauration!
Thank you for your enthusiasm and the some great suggestions about who this person might be.
Onboard throughout the entire voyage in 2025 from Norway to North America, we are carrying a unique gift that will be given to this person.
The knife—once a sailor’s lifeline and essential tool—is now symbolized by the last handmade Restauration knife (more info), number 53.
And the only one with the name Margaret on the sheath, as shown on the picture:

This knife is a symbolic tribute to a life that began on board the Restauration.
It also honors the father of the baby Margaret born onboard Restauration 200 years ago—passenger number 53 onboard—who carried a knife to help keep his family safe during the long voyage.
Then as now, parents are vital in giving children fleeing hardship a sense of safety and hope.

Send us more tips by October 2 (post@restauration.no or via Facebook). And help us find the oldest living female descendant of Margaret living in North America.
You are welcome to like and share the Facebook post.
THANK YOU in advance for your help and support!
